In response to a growing demand from parents for Cord Blood Banking services in Australia, ASCH is holding a forum for health care professionals. Presented by Associate Professor Mark Kirkland, this is an opportunity to update your knowledge on autologus cord blood banking and clinical developments in the stem cell arena.

When your patients decide to store their newborn baby’s umbilical cord blood, you play an important role in the collection process. Cord blood storage may allow your patients to take advantage of treatments that utilise stem cells.

Cord Blood Collection Instructions

Download our Cord Blood Collection Instructions in pdf format,  or call our office on 1800 005 541 to receive one by post. We will also arrange a face to face training session. A copy of the instructions is also included in every collection kit.

Emergency Collection Kits

Ideally your patients will have completed the necessary enrolment paperwork and received their personalised cord blood collection kit well prior to their due date. Occasionally though, circumstances will arise which necessitate urgent delivery of a collection kit to a patient where labour or birth is imminent.

ASCH can provide a last minute enrolment service and delivery of a collection kit so as to ensure that your patient does not miss the opportunity to store their baby's valuable stem cells.

Cord Blood Banking information for Ante Natal Education classes

A number of resources are available for ante natal educators to provide to their patients outlining the potential benefits of storing their baby''s cord blood. Additionally, members of our healthcare team in each state are available to meet with you to discuss the service or to provide a short presentation directly to your ante natal patients.
